Our world is quickly sliding to a class system like we had in the Middle Ages. There will be three types of people:

1. Masters
2. Slaves
3. Artisians

With the pace picking up on Off Shoring and On Shoring the US is quickly diminishing its middle class. The jobs that supported a family of middle income (greater than $35k per year but less than $100k per year) are now going to Non-Americans that would classify as Low Income (< $35k per year). So what will happen?

The People in Upper management (VP, Prez, CEO, Owner) they become the masters. There are more masters now than there were in the 50's, but the flip side is worse:

The rest of the People that are not artisians become the slaves. Not slaves as in the 1800's concept of African Slaves, but more in the concept of the Middle Ages Indentured Slaves. We have to work to feed our families, but all the decent jobs will be gone that are not upper management. We feel like we are worth more, but why pay someone like us slaves $75K per year when they can get someone to do the job for half? Thus we either take the job for half, or we and our families starve. Will the master get as good craftsmanship out of the slave. No. But, does that matter? Not to the master. The work is getting done, and its costing him less, so therefore he is making more money.

What are we to do? Those of us that are currently middle income have to make a decision: We either become masters ourselves, slaves or artisians.

Everyone can be an artisian. But it takes something special to make it as an artisian. The reason why I single out a classification of artisian is this; Art throughout history has always been regarded differently than work. A skill and an artistic talent are two different things.

I believe that everyone has some talent stored away somewhere. The key is discovery, development and marketing of that talent. I am a programmer by trade. I know the Internet. That is my skill. My talent is drawing and painting. My wife trains people on business applications. Her skill is singing.

Who will be guaranteed to make it? Masters. I believe that in the future, to have a bright future you need to be a master. What kind of master is up to you. You need to be in charge, and the owner of your future.

More random thought to come later.
